I recently upgraded my DL-8 mirrors to a DL-3 on my 2017 Sierra and the puddle lamps did not work due to missing a pin connector in the door jam harness connector. I Talked with Phil about this and he told me about his puddle lamp work around harness. After I purchased his kit he was a great help supporting the installation for a few question I had about it. Got this installed, puddle lamps worked perfect and I’m very happy! Price was great, shipping was VERY fast and support was great! How can you beat that! Description

If you have recently upgrading your mirrors to DL3 Mirrors using the DL8 – DL3 PnP Upgrade Harnesses or the DL8 – DL3 DIY Kit AND both puddle lamps are not working (supposed to come on at night with the unlock button on key fob), this is likely the harness you need.

Your door jamb connector is likely missing the male pin in position # 3 of the connector. See pic below.

With this workaround harness, you’ll be adding this male pin to both driver and passenger door jamb connectors, on the cabin side.

NOTE: Since your truck is missing the official puddle lamp circuit, your BCM will not output the voltage like factory. With this harness, your puddle lamps will now follow your interior dome lamp circuit.
